As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, technicians, and specialists, you will build, integrate, test and operate the New Glenn Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) labs we utilize to verify the performance of our avionics and electrical ground support equipment on New Glenn.  You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the HIL development and its use as an operational verification tool. 

As the New Glenn HIL Maintenance and Calibration Technician, you will receive materials and transport to the NG HIL labs.   Coordinate the transfer of materials to and from inventory or storage.   Support HIL build activities.   Process scrap, recycling, and obsolete inventory from work in progress locations (5S).  Help to organize and maintain a neat and orderly lab space.   Manage and organize tool and equipment storage areas and floor stock.   Create and maintain an equipment calibration database for the HIL labs.   Coordinate off-site calibration of HIL equipment and tools.   Generate and release procedures for an on-site calibration system.   Calibrate data acquisition systems using on-site calibration system.   Support removal and replacement of calibrated equipment in HIL assemblies.  

To be successful in this role you will need to have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and desire to organize and maintain the HIL labs so that work can be performed efficiently, effectively, and safely.

  • 2+ years of related experience in a lab or production environment
  • Ability to execute complex planning and scheduling
  • Experience working with a cross functional team across organizational boundaries
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office suite (particularly MS Excel)
  • Solid understanding of the purpose and process of calibration
  • Outstanding written/verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills and finely tuned attention to detail
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing (5S) processes
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


  • Associates or bachelor’s degree
  • Familiar with Atlassian/Jira for task planning
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and make decisions based on workload, program priorities and management decisions
