All Space jobs

The journey to space starts with the engines.

Ursa Major was founded to bring a new model to space access: one in which every link in an enormous value chain isn’t limited by those around it. We design rocket engines and propulsion solutions.

Our products and technologies require an extraordinary team. A team who will mold tomorrow’s technologies while deploying today’s best. We are comprised of intrinsically motivated individuals who have a passion for solving problems and empower each other every day to develop our skills, knowing that there is always room for growth.

As a member of our Advanced Programs Software (APS) team, you will be expected to own and accomplish more than most think possible with less than many claim necessary. Our business model depends on best-in-class technologies, which means we require a best-in-class team. With multiple products spanning every phase of life cycle, developers at Ursa Major are expected to be self-starters with a passion for problem solving. You will need to be driven, detail oriented, and focused to continually improve our ability to make the best engines. We reward good ideas and execution of those ideas regardless of prior experience; and most of all hold high standards of teamwork, creativity, and collaboration.

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to be an integral part of improving how we design, built, test, and deliver high-performing rocket engines to customers. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be expected to contribute to large software initiatives and help other engineers on their individual software projects. You will develop, deploy, and maintain software that will improve our ability to manufacture, test, and deliver high performance rocket engines to customers. You will interface directly with stakeholders to ensure that tools are well documented, understood, and having a positive impact on our operational efficiency. You will be expected to respond quickly to development challenges while guaranteeing the high performance and maintainability of our products. The results of your work will be visible to everyone in the company and make data readily available so all decisions are data-driven.
