About the Team

The Product Management team at Capella Space is focused on delivering the value of high-resolution SAR to customers across commercial verticals and government organizations domestically and internationally. Whether their needs are focused on reliable revisit, understanding change, or customized analytics that leverage the power of SAR, the product team is focused on meeting our customers where they work and delivering information that helps them meet their business and mission objectives.

About the Role

Capella is looking for Product Managers to support multiple product offerings within our imagery and data access portfolios. As a product manager at Capella, you will play a key role in building new products, bringing them to market, and representing the voice of the customer in our planning and strategy. Our ideal candidate is a passionate product manager with experience managing highly technical products, developer platforms, and geospatial data.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead product development and launch for new products and & iterative improvements to existing product offerings.

Deeply empathize with customer problems, solicit ideas, gather requirements and write specs.

Work with our engineering and design teams to effectively prioritize, validate, and deliver new product offerings and features that are on-time and of high quality.

Conduct customer and market research to inform prioritization and solution decisions.

Partner with Product Marketing and Customer Success to refine user personas and represent voice of customer.

Establish a data driven understanding of how customers are using and interacting with our products and systems.

Own the near- & long-term roadmap for your products.

Work closely with our Sales, Customer Success and Marketing teams to deliver domain and product knowledge and enablement.

What Skills You Need

3+ years of experience in product management, product development, or project management

Product Management experience including roadmap development, prioritization across multiple internal and external stakeholders, release planning and execution

Experience with product/feature launches including blog posts, release notes, webinars

Experience collaborating with engineering and customer facing teams to assess feasibility and support adoption of complex product features and capabilities

Customer-centric mindset and experience translating customer requirements into priorities and clear direction for the engineering teams

Excellent communication, writing, and cross-team collaboration skills

Strong project management and delegation skills including milestone updates and delivery reporting

Preferred Experience

Background working with geospatial and/or remote sensing technology, geospatial data products in various formats, and remote sensing applications with demonstrated success in providing value from these analytics in one or more market verticals.

Undergraduate degree in Business, Earth Science, Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
