Maxar is looking for a Contracts Administrator to join our team based in Herndon, VA. In this role you will specialize in the sale of commercial items to the government and large systems integrators. This position will report to the Contracts Manager, and will participate in proposal development, contracting strategy, execution and project development.
Prepare and coordinate contracts and/or modifications; review and negotiate terms and conditions in accordance with corporate and government regulations.
Manage all proposal and contract activities related to new business acquisition, focusing on sales of commercial items. Responsible for timely, complete and effective preparation of proposals including pricing volume.
Draft and manage contractual documents and correspondence for prime and sub-contracts.
Prepare and review various agreements including Non-disclosure, teaming, Sub-contract, Consulting, Task Orders, Professional Services, etc.
Prepare responses to representations and certifications.
Assemble and submit deliverable data per contract requirements.
Interface with customer contract points of contact for all contractual issues.
Maintain contracts database within prescribed systems.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, contracts management or related discipline. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in review, preparation, negotiation and monitoring of federally funded proposals and contracts.
Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation, Truth in Negotiations Act, and a working knowledge of International Traffic and Arms Regulation.
Understanding of deliverables associated with Firm Fixed Price contracts.
Some travel may be required.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills.
Experience with FAR Part 12 proposal preparation and post award contract management.
Experience with Data Rights, Intellectual Property, and Licensing concepts.
Experience with winning GSA task orders, OTA, CRADAs, Sole Source Awards, and BAAs.
Active Top Secret security clearance
