We are looking to strengthen our amazing space legal team by adding someone to work cross-functionally with colleagues in the business, technical, and logistics areas to refresh our approach in line with current regulatory framework applicable primarily to customs and contractual affairs, for both internal customers (our people) and external ones (customers and suppliers). The successful candidate will also, within the responsibility areas, provide necessary assistance to Company’s subsidiaries.

Reports to

Legal Counsel

Main responsibilities

·       Manage, from both operational and administrative side/aspect, the documentation relating to import-export shipments in accordance with

regulations (delivery notes, transportation documents, customs files, invoices, bills of lading in export, release of bills of lading in import,

goods insurance, calculation of duties, etc.), remaining in constant contact with the company functions linked to suppliers/customers and

with forwarding agents and the customs authorities.

·       Support formalisation and enforcement of procedures applicable to handling sensitive (including dual-use) information.

·       Support and manage activities related to obtaining telecommunication authorisations from the local and international authorities.

·       Support and manage activities related to obtaining any other permits or licences related to launching and operating Company’s spacecraft.

·       Manage the procedure of Company spacecraft registration in accordance with the Convention on Registration of Objects Launched into

Outer Space.

·       Support acquisition of insurance policies necessary for execution of Company’s activities.

·       Support review of legal documentation provided by D-Orbit or by third parties to D-Orbit.

·       Monitor and analyse regulatory developments related to the responsibility areas as identified above.

Skills & Qualifications

·      Degree in Law;

·      Solid experience in a similar role with a company, consultancy practice, or other relevant organisation, handling import-export of dual-use

goods, obtaining authorisations/permits/licences from relevant authorities;

·      Knowledge of the regulatory, framework applicable to import-export of dual-use goods, space-related licensing procedures in Europe and

beyond, use of radio frequencies;

·      Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, in particular Excel and Power Point;

High motivation, ability to work both autonomously and with interdisciplinary teams;

Great communication skills.


  • Full professional proficiency in the English and Italian language is mandatory;
  • Knowledge of an additional language will be considered a plus.
