Maxar is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Product Management team. Ideally this position will be located in Westminster, CO but can also be performed remotely within the U.S.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the orchestration of critical product release functions including, customer transition, communications, and coordination of collateral development. A key responsibility is to work with the Product Managers through the product rollout process, developing connections with the Customer, Ops & Dev world for product development, and facilitating product processes to ensure that we are optimizing opportunities for maximum product revenue. You will serve as a key liaison with Maxar’s go-to-market function, the Global Field Operations (GFO) organization. 

The Product Management Operations function is the key node for Product Management to ensure products are ready for market. In this role, you will liaise with a wide cross-section of the enterprise:  Product Management, Product Development, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Operations, GFO, etc. You will work from well-established playbooks. A background in project management, product management, and/or product development is required.


  • Develop a detailed plan to transition a global product user base to our next generation platform

  • Coordinate across internal and external facing teams to execute a successful transition

  • Build and manage customer engagement plans for pilots and scaled rollout

  • Communicate any project gaps to Product Management for prioritization in development

  • Communicate product status and risks to group leadership

  • Work with cross-functional team members to coordinate the development of product collateral and training

  • Ensure that transitions are planned and carried out in a timely manner and within budget

  • Identify any transition-related issues and create effective solutions to resolve them swiftly

  • Create transitional plans and documents to outline project expectations, scope, schedule, and requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a geospatial discipline, business discipline, or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree

  • 5 or more years of experience in project management, product management or product development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Very strong process orientation: detail oriented, process oriented, highly attention to milestones and deadlines for the participant in the rollout and product lifecycle processes

  • Demonstrated knowledge of product management and project management practices

  • Possess strong analytical capabilities; be comfortable in engaging business and technology decision makers across the company

  • Be highly motivated, autonomous, senior facing

  • Experience with change management strategies and processes

  • Able to lead, with strong communication, process, and presentation skills

  • Be an organized, self-starter with the ability to work across departments

The compensation range for this position is $79,500.00 - $132,500.00 annually, dependent on skills and experience.
