Our mission-driven Assembly Integration and Test team is seeking a bold and dynamic Planning, Scheduling, and Logistics Lead who is preoccupied with big questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to evolve as a species?

SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Planning, Scheduling, and Logistics Lead This professional will primarily be responsible for planning and scheduling work associated with the AI&T team’s responsibilities, including:

• Work with Axiom’s AI&T staff, engineering and operations Subject Matter Experts, and Axiom suppliers to identify, define, and strategically sequence Assembly, Integration and Testing activities involving Flight Hardware, Ground Support Equipment, Axiom and supplier facilities and resources

• Estimate total resource and resource loading associated with planned activities

• Track activities that influence and depend upon AI&T’s activities

• Work with stakeholders to ensure coordination of interdependencies

• Develop, coordinate, and maintain accuracy of the AI&T schedule in relation to the Axiom Integrated Master Schedule (IMS): Axiom’s AI&T Team is developing, will implement and manage the processes by which commercial spacecraft are produced from components.

• In cooperation with subsystem Subject Matter Experts and Integrated Product Groups, estimate timelines and labor resources for Assembly, Integration and Testing activities at component, subassembly and assembly levels

• In cooperation with subsystem and AI&T SMEs, produce and manage plans and schedules for AI&T activities and facilities that support commercial space flight hardware development and production

• Develop, manage and implement Agile-based work management plans that meets the immediate and evolving needs of the AI&T development team, and that ultimately meet the expanding needs of a fully operational AI&T facility and staff

• Coordinate with Integrated Product Groups to ensure hardware designs and production/testing/integration processes are mutually compatible with AI&T strategies and schedule

• In cooperation with AI&T SMEs and architecture developers, coordinate scheduling and planning for development, commissioning, and utilization for AI&T facilities

• In collaboration with Axiom’s Verification and Validation, Quality, Logistics, and operations teams, develop and implement plans to streamline procurement, incoming inspection, inventory management, and logistical support

• Develop and implement plans to evolve an inventory management solution in advance of Axiom’s increasingly complex and comprehensive AI&T activities, with expandability to include support for commercial space station operations

• In collaboration with others on the AI&T team, inform Axiom’s technical team and management regarding all time-dependent and time-critical aspects involving Assembly, Integration and Testing

• Work to ensure that Axiom’s enterprise and schedule are not disrupted by time-related surprises. Help ensure predictable schedule performance among stakeholders through effective planning, scheduling, and communication.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree Engineering or related field required

• Minimum 5 years’ project engineering experience

• Experience with logistics, supply chain, strategic scheduling

• Experience with the design of ground support equipment, facilities, and integration processes

• Experience with manufacturing and design for producibility

• Proficient in Oracle Primavera (scheduling) or similar scheduling tools


• Capable of meeting deadlines and handling multiple projects at the same time

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Work on own, as required and able to use your own initiative

• Experience with Agile methodology

• Strong sense of accountability, integrity, and team focus with extensive multitasking and organizational experience

• Excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills

• Capable of handling multiple projects at the same time
