Job Description:

LeoLabs Federal, Inc. is seeking motivated software development professionals in support of the United States Space Force’s (USSF) Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC). You’ll be part of the team that is building the navigation infrastructure for space. Your work will directly apply to securing and protecting the space environment, benefitting generations to come. Some (~10%) domestic and international travel is required for this position to support the deployment of phased array radars and a mission operations center.

Multiple openings available. This does not represent a specific current opening but may be used to identify candidates with skills and experience for positions that frequently become available. Potential candidates may be considered for existing or future LeoLabs opportunities.


  • Ship high quality solutions with a sense of urgency and speed
  • Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other developers, owning a large part of the process from understanding the problem to shipping the solution
  • Work closely with the LeoLabs Federal team to distill and plan secure and elegant technical solutions
  • Provide technical leadership to a software development team focused on mission performance and cybersecurity
  • Harness large scale cloud computing infrastructure and DevSecOps best practices to meet demanding schedules alongside a world class industry team
  • Interface with wide variety of industry and Government stakeholders for design reviews, trade studies, technical analyses, formal test events, etc.


  • BS degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience with commercial cloud services, such as Microsoft Azure Space
  • Experience with implementing and deploying applications and services on Commercial Cloud Services (C2S/C2E) is highly desired
  • 5+ years of software engineering / development experience, to include recent experience in agile software engineering environments
  • Demonstrated skill in at least one high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++) including modern version control concepts and tools
  • Experience with large data sets is desirable
  • Must be a US Citizen with active or recent Top Secret/SSBI and ability to obtain SCI level access
  • Management experience with small engineering teams or DOD/IC customers preferred
