The Electronics Package Test Engineer is responsible for test and verification of the avionics system.  In this role you will be an integral part of the Avionics team in developing detailed plans, designing test equipment, conducting and managing the performance of tests for product flight certifications.


  • Develop test plans and procedures for acceptance and qualification tests of electronic assemblies.
  • Design and develop test equipment and harnesses to support testing.
  • Develop detailed schedule and budget plans for package test and coordinate with outside test services for environmental testing.



  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Experience/understanding of hardware/software interfaces, reading schematics
  • Experience using standard lab test equipment, such as power supplies, oscilloscopes and DMMs
  • Experience/understanding of test procedures and test of electronic assemblies
  • Ability to decompose product requirements into robust test plans, test procedures, and test reports
  • Experience testing to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461E, SMC-S-016, or other rigorous environmental testing and screening standards
  • Ability to work independently with accelerated schedule pressure
  • Ability to travel to external test facilities, as needed


  • Knowledge of one or more high-level general-purpose programming languages including but not limited to LabVIEW and Python
  • Experience with designing test racks and rack enclosures.
  • Experience writing test reports and test procedures.
  • Experience in harness fabrication/design.
  • Ability to clearly communicate work instructions for technicians and engineers.
  • Negotiating compliance and conformance with external governing agencies
  • Direct experience with range safety agencies
