Firefly Aerospace is looking for talented, curious, and highly motivated Avionics Manufacturing Engineers to join our rapidly growing team. You will lead the charge to scale up our in-house production capabilities to align with our launch schedule and exciting product roadmap. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a high growth team that is setting the course for the future of avionics production at Firefly Aerospace.


  • Lead the development of new production processes and the refinement of existing
  • Develop tools to monitor and provide feedback loops for the input/output of production
  • Optimize and automate manufacturing and test processes
  • Resolve non-conformances found in the production process and implement root cause corrective actions
  • Contribute to design reviews to optimize for DFM and supply chain simplification  
  • Deliver completed Avionics hardware to the vehicle integration with full confidence in the as-built reliability of the hardware



  • Bachelor�s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. 
  • Self-motivated to implement goals and solve complex problems with little supervision
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement through creative problem solving
  • 1+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, and/or production of mechanical or electrical hardware (including internships and/or collegiate extracurricular projects)

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience developing manufacturing processes for new types of products (i.e. � Battery Manufacturing)
  • New equipment procurement and process setup (i.e. � Laser Wire Stripper)
  • Experience modeling with 3D CAD software and basic manufacturing processes
  • Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Experience creating work instructions and standards for operators
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (i.e. IPC-A-620)
  • Experience with and understanding of the building blocks of an ERP system
