As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will manage tooling engineers tasked with delivering solutions that enable the assembly and integration of various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the manufacturing process. 

A successful candidate will combine a background in tool engineering with experience developing and maintaining project schedules.  They will also have demonstrated experience in cost and work scope for tooling and equipment design/build. Stakeholders are the Manufcaturing Engineering Teams, Environmental Health and Safety Engineers, Test Engineers and the Factory Production Teams at our Kent and Florida sites.  This person will directly report to the Director of Manufacturing and Tooling for New Glenn Stage 1 Integration and New Glenn Stage 1 and Stage 2 assemblies built in Kent.  This exciting role is new to the team and you will make an immediate and direct impact!

  • Minimum 8 years in tool engineering

  • CAD Design Experience: CREO, CATIA or NX

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Materials, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering

  • Willing to travel 10-15% after COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions have lifted

  • Wiling to complete essential travel during COVID-19 pandemic

  • Cost Estimating Experience

  • Schedule Development and Management Experience

  • Budget Management Experience

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


  • Structural Analysis Experience

  • PE License

  • Integrated Supply Chain experience

  • Management Experience

  • Coaching Experience
