Summary:  This position will work on-site at our headquarters in Houston, Texas and serve as the Vehicle Integration Systems Engineer for launch and visiting vehicles that interface with Axiom’s Space Station

Note: Proof of COVID – 19 vaccination status (vaccination card) will be required for employment.


• Develop and manage the system requirements, interfaces and technical integration of Space Launch Provider Vehicles to the Axiom space modules

• Develop and manage the system requirements, interfaces and technical integration of an approaching Visiting Spacecraft Vehicle to the Axiom Space Station

• Responsible for developing and documenting interfaces between Visiting Spacecraft Vehicles and Space Launch Vehicle systems

• Facilitating and managing integration among technical teams in resolving interfaces issues across a variety of technical disciplines including structural/mechanical, command/data handling, thermal, electrical power, and loads/dynamic

. • Systems engineering technical support for module integration and analysis for environments, loads, interfaces, power, thermal, etc

• Develop and manage verification and closure of design requirements, safety hazards, and joint technical analyses for thermal, loads, power, etc.

• Facilitating and managing integration with engineering spacecraft subsystems and operations disciplines to fully certify the vehicle

• Support liaison for Axiom module interface integration with Launch Vehicle Service Providers and with Visiting Vehicle Providers

• Technical support for launch provider and visiting vehicle legal contract negotiations


Education & Experience

• 5 + years of spacecraft vehicle interface management or related experience preferred

• BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred, will consider relevant years of related experience

• Experience with developing and prioritizing high-level department project scheduling based on technical and project delivery milestones

• Experience with performing/tracking duties pertaining to schedules

• Working knowledge of the general principles of technical document preparation and maintenance, as well as reporting and resolving schedule discrepancies with project deliverables

• Exposure to Project Management principles, or a project management related coursework or certification is a plus

• High technical expertise in aerospace and spacecraft systems preferred

• Systems engineering and integration experience preferred


 • Ability and willing to learn new programs (Confluence, Jira, etc.)

• Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills • Good technical writing skills 

• The candidate must be able to develop presentations on demand and produce quality results

• Candidate must be motivated and possess excellent written and oral communication skills

• Candidate must be flexible in an environment of constantly changing requirements and work well within a team environment
