Sierra Space is building the world’s only commercial reusable space lifting body vehicle and this opportunity provides the chance to be part of the elite team that will test the vehicle prior to flight. As part of the spacecraft test team you will be an integral part of the path to launch for a one of a kind space plane. You will develop, design, author and execute test plans to validate and verify the vehicle from system installations through full vehicle environmental tests. You will have the opportunity to challenge your existing skills as well as build new ones, you will be asked to define technical plans while planning and coordinating a test campaign. You will be required to interact on a technical level with engineers and technicians across every discipline including mechanical, structural, electrical, and software.

Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 5 or more years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A higher degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration
Experience with planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing
Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements
Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances
Experience performing certification testing for various certification organizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD)
Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
