We are looking for a Loads and Dynamics Engineer to help with analyzing all aspects of the dynamic loading and response of launch vehicles and payloads while also working with the test and launch teams to verify results for continuous refinement of remodels based on test and flight data.  This will include the lower frequency load cases of Coupled Loads Analyses (CLA) as well as the higher frequency analyses associated with dynamic environments (shock and vibration.) We are looking for innovative engineers who are motivated to find ways to optimize and automate the CLA process for our customers, driving down the timeline, complexity and cost or traditional processes by an order of magnitude.


  • Create finite element models (FEM) of the launch vehicles and payloads
  • Develop and apply the forcing functions for all flight events, including aerodynamic loads, TVC, gust, buffet, and stage separation
  • Perform dynamic analysis using FEMAP/Nastran (modal, frequency response, random, SRS, transient)
  • Work directly with payload providers to ensure that the Launch Vehicle and spacecraft are compatible.
  • Coordinate with the relevant teams to tailor spacecraft testing requirements, tune hardware, add custom isolation, and/or perform model refinement to address specific customer sensitivities
  • Develop well documented scripts for postprocessing analysis results into loads and other output products using MATLAB/Python
  • Provide guidance for experimental modal tests and flight instrumentation┬á┬á┬á
  • Update and correlate forcing functions and FEM with flight and ground test data
  • Perform signal analysis of test data
  • Communicate results to relevant teams and leadership through any combination of analytical reports, design reviews, and presentations



  • Bachelor´┐Żs Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in structural dynamics, vibration, and/or launch vehicle dynamic analysis
  • Proficient with analytical simulation software such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, MATLAB
  • Proficiency with signal analysis in both time and frequency domains
  • Proficiency with random data and transient analysis (including shock SRS´┐Żs)


  • Master´┐Żs Degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • Experience with CLA analysis on launch vehicles
  • Experience with launch vehicle dynamic environments analysis (i.e. shock and vibration)
  • Experience with dynamic analysis of liquid propellant rocket engines and/or turbomachinery
  • Experienced in dynamic testing, instrumentation and test equipment (DAQs, accelerometers, microphones, etc.)
