Capella is seeking a Hardware/Infrastructure Engineer to join our Direct Access Services team. Capella's Direct Access Services will support a diverse set of customers around the globe with a variety of missions including satellite downlink, SAR Image Processing, and Analytics Processing.
As a Hardware/Infrastructure Engineer you will work cross-functionally with the Direct Access Services, Space Operations, Ground System Software, DevOps, and IT/Security teams to build the hardware and infrastructure required for customer delivery projects.
You will be responsible for the data center hardware and infrastructure platform delivered to the customer site including determining hardware sizing and specifications, working with vendors to procure hardware, building out virtualized environments, network design, firewall configuration, storage configuration, implementing security controls, and enabling remote support of hardware systems. The position is available in San Francisco, CA or Boulder, CO.
Experience with remote, on-premises data center environments
Linux Administration experience
Virtualization (VMWare, Vcenter, ESXi, etc.) experience
Experience deploying containerized services (Docker) within remote, on-premises environments
Familiar with IT System administration
Experience building out systems compliant with Cyber Security standards (CMMC L3 or higher, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, etc.)
Experience designing and configuring networks for remote, on-premises environments
Experience configuring and maintaining firewalls
Experience configuring and maintaining Storage Systems
History working with with infrastructure technologies (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Redis, InfluxDB, MongoDB, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
This position requires special access to conduct the work and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
This position will require international travel. Occasional extended periods abroad required.
