Exotrail is a space company based in France. We are developing mobility solutions for an agile space.

Our mission is to allow small satellite constellations to move in space, so that we can optimise their deployment, increase their performances and reduce space pollution. Thanks to this, a new world of telecommunication, Earth observation and space exploration will arise.

Our mobility solutions range from highly flexible high-thrust propulsion systems for small satellites (ExoMG™), mission simulation and operation software (ExoOPS™), and orbital transfer vehicles (SpaceVan™). Exotrail has been created in 2017 and has secured over 20M€ since then from prestigious Venture Capital funds and public grants.

Our team is expanding quickly and consists, as of today, of +40 people who are passionate about disrupting the space industry. We operate out of two locations: Toulouse and Massy (suburb of Paris). But this is only the beginning!

Job Description Our software business activity is growing and we are looking for a Software Solution Sales Engineer to drive the growth of ExoOPS™ Business line, Exotrail’s software solution for simulation, mission analysis and in-space operations. In this role you will be part of our Sales, Marketing & Business development team and you will report directly to the VP Sales, Marketing & Business Development.

You will be responsible for Sales & Marketing activities of ExoOPS™, Exotrail’s software product portfolio. ExoOPS™ current portfolio is composed of ExoOPS™ - Mission Design, a simulation and mission analysis software dedicated to satellite operators, satellite manufacturers, space agencies or space engineering companies and ExoOPS™ - Operations, a space operations software dedicated to the flourish satellite constellation market. Our ambition is to position ExoOPS™ as the flight dynamics benchmark solution to address the complete space mission life cycle from preliminary design till deorbitation.

Thus, your main tasks will be:

  • Prospect the worldwide market, identify opportunities, build your pipe and execute the complete sale process till contract signature.
  • Handle / be responsible for bid management including answer to RFI/RFP, quotation & proposal writing, in autonomy or with the support of the product owner teams.
  • Be responsible to establish and develop customer relationships in order to develop cross-selling and up-selling strategies.
  • Participate/attend exhibition & online events on a regular basis to promote ExoOPS™ Business Line .
  • Contribute to the product roadmap definition through deep understanding of the market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Identify and put in place partnerships and/or distribution channel to accelerate the sales.
  • Provide support to the Exotrail communication team in order to execute product communication roadmap.

Preferred Experience

  • Energetic person, team building spirit and highly motivated to work in a quick pace / start-up organisation.
  • At least 5 years of experience in selling software (product and/or project) on B-2-B markets and to large accounts (Key account management).
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Very good soft and presentation skills (presentations, technical documentation, assumptions, oral presentation)
  • Former experiences on the aerospace sector will be highly valuated but not mandatory.
  • Be passionate with space and entrepreneurship and be ready to work in a very demanding, evolving and challenging environment.
